Royel Otis Drops Brand New Single “Velvet” From Forthcoming Debut Album Pratts & Pain

Sydney’s indie pop duo Royel Otis released the single Velvet from their upcoming debut Pratts & Pain on January 11th, 2024. The new single is the fourth to be released from the much anticipated album and came accompanied with a visualizer posted to YouTube. Pratts & Pain is slated for a February 16th release date and is anticipated as the duos first debut full length.

Velvet is much more repetitious in form than the previous singles released thus far, but in a pleasing way that flirts considerably with post-punk in execution. The track features a steady high tempo instrumentation with energetic vocals to match the pace well. The new track can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music and more here. The new track will be the sixth from the bands upcoming album Pratts & Pain which can pre-added to streaming services or preordered as an exclusive blue vinyl here.

The new album follows the duo’s successful and widely heard Sofa Kings EP which saw release in March of 2023. Royel Otis are scheduled to begin touring in Australia on February 8th, with US & Canadian dates beginning on April 20th.
