Jess Locke Drops Single “Uncomfortably Happy” With Music Video From Newly Announced Album Real Life
Melbourne, Australia’s Jess Locke dropped the brand new fuzzed out indie pop single Uncomfortably Happy to streaming services and social media on January 9th, 2024. The new track came coupled with the announcement of a brand new album titled Real Life which is set to see release on May 3rd, 2024 through Dot Dash / Remote Control Records.
Uncomfortably Happy contains a swelling chorus that liberates Locke through a cathartic kind of release concerning the anxieties of every day life and their fleeting and inconsequential nature in the scope of a larger picture. The new single builds on engaging instrumentation through implementation of pointed synths and fuzzy strumming. The forthcoming album, Real Life is available for preorder from bandcamp as a vinyl in a limited translucent orange.
The new album follows up the full length release of Don’t Ask Yourself Why in March of 2021. The new single Uncomfortably Happy can be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify and more here. Pre-add Real Life to Apple Music and Spotify here. Jess Locke is scheduled to tour in Brunswick on the 14th of January and 23rd of February with additional details available on the official tour page.
