Current Joys Announce New Album LOVE + POP And Debut Title Track “LOVE + POP” With Your Angel

Nick Rattigan’s indie pop bedroom project Current Joys is set to take off again with a brand new album titled LOVE + POP. LOVE + POP was unveiled earlier today on bandcamp and other streaming platforms with an accompanying music video for their title track of the same name. We will be able to hear it in full on August 4th, 2023 which is when it releases on Secretly Canadian.

Rattigan has stated that the new album was entirely recorded at home, which lends itself squarely to the DIY ethos Current Joys has been known for. The new album is set to feature guests Your Angel, Lil Yatchty, Brutus VIII and Oddbody. Surely an eclectic and wonderful lineup that will keep us looking forward to what comes out between now and August 4th, 2023.

The title track LOVE + POP serves as a great teaser for what’s to come, with high energy vocals veering into aggression at points against a backdrop of rhythmically catchy hooks that is sure to leave old and new fans alike pining for more. LOVE + POP is available for preorder on the Current Joys bandcamp, with the option to pick up a limited neon purple galaxy vinyl for the turntable.
