Seoul’s Meaningful Stone gifted our ears with some ethereal dream pop that dropped via EMA Recordings. Angel Interview ebbs and flows with eclectic song structure and entrancing vocal performance from beginning to end. Hauntingly dreamy at times while retaining a mellow and warm charm.

Crippled Black Phoenix – Horrific Honorifics Number Two (2)
Bristol’s art rock band Crippled Black Phoenix dropped Horrific Honorifics Number Two to streaming platforms and social media this Friday. The band lays bare its own take on Laura Branigan’s Self Control and Fugazi’s Blueprint while offering listeners a raw sonic landscape throughout eight full covers. The new release sees itself out via Season of Mist records.

The Innocence Mission – Midwinter Swimmers
The Innocence Mission released their indie folk full length Midwinter Swimmers this Friday. The album leans substantially on classic folk with a warm and inviting vocal performance throughout. Midwinter Swimmers as an album is defined by a lush yet wistful atmosphere.

Tuff Luv – Out Of Love EP
London’s Tuff Luv dropped a short but ravaging punk rock extended play on Secret Friends Music Group this Friday. The new material brings together many notable features including Wade Macneil of Alexisonfire on the track It Is What It Is and No Relief on XL LUV. All of these tracks remain unique enough on their own while the work maintains a surprising cohesion for such a short punk rock EP with so many features. The closer is a very fun cover of The Kinks classic Waterloo Sunset.

Sang Froid – Silence The Night (Single) / The EP Compilation
Nantes, France’s Sang Froid pulls heavily on classic goth rock with the new single Silence The Night. The single is a synth heavy piece that hearkens back to the early cold wave and post punk.
