Softcult Shares Single “Shortest Fuse” With Music Video

Ontario’s alternative duo Softcult released their brand new single Shortest Fuse to social media and streaming platforms early on Tuesday January 30th, 2024. The new single also dropped with a fresh music video posted to Softcult’s YouTube account. Shortest Fuse is now available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify and more here.

The new track features soaring instrumentation that melds shoegaze with the veracity of nineties grunge. Vocals throughout the track are ethereal and effective in their delivery, producing a profound listening experience all around. Thematically the track touches fundamentally on struggle through pointed lyricism about financial disruption and interpersonal friction.

Softcult last released their well received See You In The Dark EP in March of 2023. Shortest Fuse joins the stand-alone captivating singles Haunt You Still and Heaven leaving us wondering about the prospect of a potential debut full length. The duo are set to play live at the Rockwood Music Hall in Boston on February 8th, with additional dates scheduled in the United States and Australia.
